Smoke Detectors

Protect yourself and your family with smoke detectors, fires can happen at anytime and anywhere. It is important to have a warning and as much time as possible to get you to safety. Smoke detectors should be in every bedroom and every room in the house aside from the kitchen. You will be warned with any smoke in your house and can either get out safely or find the source of the smoke. At times this can help catch a fire before it starts which can save your life and your house. This is also important to have so you can be alerted of any smoke or fire while you're sleeping. It is something that is often not noticed in your house but can be one of the most important things to have installed and make sure they work because it can save you so much!

Installation is usually easy depending on which manufacture and what type of smoke detector you get. There are battery operated ones, wireless ones, and also ones that can be hardwired in to your house so you don't have to replace any batteries. If you already have them installed you can find new ones to update that also have heat sensors, and also carbon monoxide detectors as well. Make sure to test your smoke detectors every 6 - 9 months, if you use battery operated ones they will chirp every few minutes to remind you the battery needs to be changed. Replace and test them frequently so in the event of a real emergency they perform as they should.
